With this in mind, we maintain a comprehensive set of student and graduate services designed to help you meet your educational and professional needs. We also offer a variety of services to Employers. Our massage therapy school is dedicated to entry level career training that encompasses relaxation and therapeutic massage techniques. Since 1981, the Humanities Center Institute of Allied Health School of Massage (Humanities Center) has maintained a tradition of excellence in the field of massage education. The curriculum at The Humanities Center School of Massage is grounded in our belief that scientific foundations and inspirational, real-life experiences create passionate massage therapy professionals. As a student here, you'll benefit from a comprehensive combination of anatomy and physiology, hands-on classroom instruction and clinic work. After graduation, we'll continue to support you with ongoing learning opportunities through continuing education, lectures and workshops. Within our 672 hour program, students receive training in Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Positional Release, Muscle Energy Techniques and Myofascial Release Therapy. Information on Programs Offered: Our Therapeutic Applications of Massage Program is a 672 hour program: a holistic and hands-on approach to massage. You'll be challenged and inspired to create your own unique career path, whether that means working in a hospital, clinic, spa, health club or your own private practice. We are excited to be able to offer our program because it presents so many opportunities to those who want to enter the profession and feel confident about their entry-level training. Our training is well-rounded with a good balance between lecture and hands-on time. Students who successfully complete this program become certified in Basic Swedish Massage, Integrated Relaxation Techniques, and in the highly sought-after approach to NeuroMuscular therapies we call Integrated Therapeutic Techniques. Graduates find that they are comfortable in job settings that emphasize wellness and stress-reduction, as well as settings which focus on sports or medical rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries or dysfunctions. Our Continuing Education classes are designed to help graduates and other massage professionals expand their knowledge and hone their skills.
