Information on Programs Offered:The mission of the Medical Assistant Program is to prepare students for employment as Medical Assistants who will work in doctor's offices, clinics, and/or nursing homes. Students are prepared according to the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) Standards.
Program Objectives To prepare students for entry-level employment as Medical Assistants. Business Administration Bachelor of Science Degree 45 Months - 180 Credits Program Objectives Graduates of this degree program will be able to operate professionally in today's business world. Health Information Management Program Bachelor of Science Degree 45 Months - 180 Credits This degree program is designed to prepare students with the necessary healthcare managerial skills and principles for careers in the health information management. Students are provided with a course of study that allows them to have knowledge of medical assisting, billing & coding and administration. Some career employment opportunities students will be prepared for include employment in hospitals, physician practice groups, surgery centers, eldercare facilities, and home health care agencies. Program Objectives The objective of this program is to provide students with managerial background in the allied health sector to allow them to become well equipped for a profession in health management.
