    Information on Programs Offered:

    Our advanced massage therapy program is designed to give you the start you need to excel in the massage therapy field. The Diploma in Massage Therapy can provide graduates with a solid educational foundation for a career as a massage therapist. Students can gain extensive hands-on practice and skills in a variety of techniques applicable to the clinical setting. This program can also prepare graduates with a key business knowledge to help them build their individual massage therapy practices. Emphasis is placed on the client-centered services and maintained the highest professional standards.

    The Diploma in Dental Assisting should prepare graduates to assist in a variety of dental office situations. This program can give students a background in dental anatomy, pathology, and terminology, as well as dental materials, radiography and chair side assisting techniques. Graduates of the program should have experience in assisting a dentist with exams and a variety of dental procedures, preparing instruments, taking dental x-rays, conducting dental laboratory procedures and reception and office management procedures.

    The medical assistant is a trained professional member of the physicians staff. A career as a medical assistant is challenging and offers a variety of opportunities. There are career opportunities in public health facilities, hospitals, laboratories, blood banks, medical schools, research institutions, nursing homes, and private practices. The expanded duties of a medical assistant vary from one facility to the next depending on the type of practice and work habits of the individuals.

    Health information specialists and medical billers/coders are trained professional members of the business and operations staff of todays health care industry. With todays constantly changing insurance and administrative information requirements in the medical field, they are important to the smooth operation of virtually any medical office. A career in health information technology is challenging and offers a variety of opportunities. There are career options in doctors offices, clinics, public health facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, insurance agencies, information services departments, and self-employment.

    This program can provide students with the appropriate general education, didactic theory, and hands-on-skills required to begin and/or enhance a career in Surgical Technology. The purpose of the program is to provide the student with a broad base of knowledge that integrates academic content and clinical experiences in surgical technology.
