Depending upon program area, Lincoln training programs prepare students to sit for desirable industry certification exams. Accreditation: Lincoln College of Technology campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) depending upon campus location. Our Dental programs provide hands-on skills and knowledge in the technical areas of preventive dentistry, including four-handed dentistry, chair-side assistance, diagnostics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontic procedures, surgical procedures, and dental radiology, among others. Business aspects of a dental office are also covered, including practice management. Graduates of the program are encouraged to sit for the Radiography National Board Examination. Once you’re licensed, and with our career placement assistance, you can start a dental career just beaming with success! The comprehensive curriculum of Lincoln’s practical nursing school includes clinical rotations in human biology, medical terminology, extended care, maternity, child development, and geriatrics. After graduation you can be qualified and prepared to sit for the Practical Nursing Licensing Exam. Once licensed, you’ll find many career opportunities await someone with your special skills! This program is designed to provide students with skills that can be used throughout the health care industry. It stresses understanding of and demonstration of planning, management, technical skills, and principles of technology and labor, as well as community health, safety, and environmental issues. The Patient Care Technician program is taught utilizing textbooks, lecture sessions, videos, lab practice and practical experience in acute care and long term care facilities to ensure successful, comprehensive training. Each sequence of instruction coincides with clinical experience in an area facility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Upon successful completion of Lincoln's Patient Care Technician program at our Fern Park (Orlando) or St. Petersburg campus, graduates are eligible to take the Florida State Nursing Assistant certification examination, which is the required certification for Patient Care Technicians. A growing senior population has increased the need for qualified, skilled pharmacy technicians to assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing the prescriptions that protect and save lives. Train to become a pharmacy technician at Lincoln and serve others as you enjoy a secure and rewarding career! Pharmacy Technician Training includes understanding the rules and regulations of pharmacology, mixing and preparing medications, monitoring inventory, filling out insurance claims and working with patient charts.
